Mini-Landrover
In addition, the castle park now also offers children from 6 to 12 years a whole new adventure: they can explore the park motorised with our mini Land Rovers. As a highlight, there is a children's driving licence to take home at the end.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to reserve vehicles in advance during holiday periods. Please ask at the park shop when you arrive when the next Mini Landrover will be available for your child(ren).
Children's audio guides
Alternatively, children can explore the park on their own with our children's audio guides and the accompanying path plans. In the process, they experience the diversity and beauty of the park together with the narrating voices of "Merle", a real East Frisian blackbird, and the gardener of the castle park. At four of a total of 16 stations, the children can collect stamps for their trail map and complete pictures from the listening stations.
Castle Park Mystery
The children's puzzle makes for an exciting tour of the park „Schlossparkgeheimnis“: With this book, children embark on an adventurous journey through time: By solving puzzles around the castle park, they have to find eight keys to unravel the mystery and save the park..
The mystery story, vividly narrated and charmingly illustrated by Lübbert R. Haneborger, took third place in the category "Best Book on Garden History" at the German Garden Book Award 2014. The mystery book is available in the park shop of Lütetsburg Castle Park.
Fun and games in the park shop
The park shop also sells knights' suppliesof all kinds and explorers' utensils for a tour of the park.
Temporary closure of the Lütetsburg playground
As we are going to redesign our playground, it is closed with immediate effect. This is necessary in order to be able to guarantee the required safety for your children in the future.
We are working on a new concept for the playground and ask for your understanding in the meantime. As soon as the new playground is opened, we will communicate this.
